ABOUT US
The East Africa - America Business Council (EAABC),
established in 1999, is a tax-exempt membership organization
of corporations and individuals dedicated to the enhancement
of the commercial relationship between the United States and
the East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
This we do by creating educational, cultural and commercial
exchange opportunities between East African and American
individuals and corporations. The Council believes that it can
accomplish this goal by educating our members and clients about
the economic climate and cultural traditions on the two regions
and by using a network of business executives and government
officials to promote the East African region.
EAABC is governed by a Board of Directors. The board of
directors elects an executive committee for the daily oversight
over the affairs of EAABC. To fulfill its mandate, the executive
committee may appoint other committees or individuals. The composition
of the board reflects the face of the member countries.
EAABC is the first multi-nation organization to specifically target
the potential between East Africa & the USA. It is fast becoming the
organization that others have tried or are trying to emulate despite
the fact that we are a young organization was very limited resources.
